Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and see you all soon!

It's early (for us) here in Miami, but we've peeled our eye lids open and we're headed south.

With my babe asleep on my chest, the moist warm air (love it!) of Miami in my lungs, and comfy in a t-shirt, this feels NOTHING like Christmas to me. I was thinking about that this morning. Even to this California raised girl, it only FEELS like Christmas if it's snowing outside, the fire place is blazing, hot cocoa is in my hand, and Christmas music is playing.
But this morning when I dragged myself out of a sleepy stupor in a cheap hotel room and felt particularly warm on this Christmas Eve, the Spirit reminded me that those traditionally nostalgic things of Merry Christmas Time have nothing to do with the glowy joy I feel in my heart.

I am so very blessed. Blessed by my Savior and the victoriously free life I find in Him. I am blessed by my husband, who is just as romantic and even more wonderful than the day we met, and that's no lip service. I'm blessed by my little Smiley Boy, who daily brings me joy. And I am blessed by all of you, who pour into me and our little family.

Ephesians 3:14-21
"For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
