With Colorado Springs enveloped in smoke from the Waldo Canyon Fire, just about any small thing would have been enough excuse to pack up and jump in the car and leave for a few days. But when one of my best girlfriends mentioned that she could use some help with some work in her home, within a couple of hours, we were packed and in the car on the way south. A couple of days to play and help and watch the kids get completely filthy together, was just perfect.
